What is Vessel Tune?
Vessel Tune is a marine audio sync system that wirelessly links multiple boats together so everyone hears the same music at the same time — with no noticeable delay. One boat hosts the music, and every other boat syncs perfectly.
How Does Vessel Tune Work?
One boat is selected as the HOST. The host connects a phone to VT technology via Bluetooth. Other boats connect as GUESTS, and Vessel Tune wirelessly transmits the audio between boats in real time.
Is There Any Audio Delay?
No. Vessel Tune is designed for zero noticeable delay, so all boats stay perfectly in sync. No echo, no timing issues, no phase problems.
Do I Need Wi-Fi or Cellular Service?
No. Vessel Tune creates its own private wireless network between boats. No Wi-Fi, no cellular signal, and no internet connection required.
Does Vessel Tune Use Bluetooth?
Your phone connects to your boat’s VT unit via Bluetooth, to then broadcast the song to GUESTS.
Vessel Tune handles the boat-to-boat audio transmission, which is not standard Bluetooth audio streaming.
How Many Boats Can Connect?
There is no fixed limit. As long as boats are within range, they can join the group and stay in sync.
What is the Range?
Operating range is solely dependent upon the area where the VT units are mounted in each boat. PRO TIP: The middle boat in the raft-up, should always be HOST. This will equalize range across the party.
Will It Work with my Existing Stereo?
Yes. Vessel Tune connects to most marine head units using standard RCA audio inputs and USB.
Can Any Boat Be Host?
Yes. Any Vessel Tune unit can be set as the host or a receiver. You choose which boat controls the music.
Who Controls the Music?
Only the host boat controls the music. This prevents interruptions and keeps the audio experience smooth and consistent for everyone.
Is Installation Complicated?
No. Installation is simple and straightforward. Vessel Tune connects to USB power and RCA AUX in (both typically found on existing stereo head-unit). No complex setup, programming, or networking required.
Can I Use My Stereo Normally?
Yes. When Vessel Tune is not active, your stereo functions exactly as it always has.
Does It work When Boats Are Moving?
Vessel Tune is optimized for raft-ups, sandbars, docks, and close-proximity boating. Performance may vary at underway speeds or greater distances.
